About Ivy
Ivy 757 LLC, doing business as Ivy Virginia Driver Improvement (“Ivy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides online driver improvement and reckless/aggressive driving education programs for Virginia drivers. This policy describes information used for our website, courses, and optional internal administrator text alerts.
Ivy is an independent private company, not part of, operated by, or endorsed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Virginia DMV, or any court.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use our website and services, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, address when required, course registration information, payment and transaction information, course-access and completion information, and communications you send to us.
Where required for an applicable course, registration information may include legal name, date of birth, DMV customer or driver's license number, license state, and attendance reason. Technical information may include browser, device, IP address, and website activity where applicable.
For optional administrator SMS alerts, we record the designated recipient number, opt-in confirmation, alert preferences, and notification delivery history.
How We Use Information
We use information to register students, process and verify payments, provide course-access instructions, support course participation, maintain registration and completion records, issue or facilitate completion documentation, and make reports when required or authorized for an applicable program.
Information also supports customer service, fraud prevention, website operation, and applicable legal or program requirements. Optional administrator text alerts notify consenting administrators of 3A course-completion notices; they are not student marketing messages.
Payments and Operational Service Providers
Payments are processed through Stripe. Ivy does not store complete payment-card numbers on its own servers. Payment processors may collect and process payment information according to their own privacy and security practices.
Ivy uses 3A Method Driving Schools (3A) for course services and uses providers for hosting, email delivery, and other business operations. When administrator SMS is configured, an SMS delivery provider such as Twilio processes the destination number and message content to deliver the requested alerts.
We may provide these service providers with information reasonably necessary for them to perform services on our behalf. Operational delivery is distinct from sharing information for unrelated marketing.
SMS Opt-In Privacy
The administrator SMS program uses a designated phone number only after an administrator confirms the number owner's consent in Ivy's private settings. Changing that number requires a new opt-in confirmation. Alerts can be disabled in those settings.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
This commitment concerns SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, and personal information collected for the SMS program being sold or shared for third-party marketing. It does not mean that no information is shared: operational service providers receive information needed to provide requested services, and limited Google Ads conversion measurement is disclosed separately below. SMS opt-in information and recipient phone numbers are not shared for third-party marketing.
SMS consent and recipient settings are used to administer the requested alerts, not to enroll students in marketing or provide SMS opt-in lists to advertisers. The SMS provider receives the number and message information needed for operational delivery.
Completion alerts may include student name, course type, completion date, certificate status, and a link that requires administrator sign-in. They do not include date of birth, DMV or license numbers, or student email addresses.
Other Sharing and Advertising Measurement
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to provide requested services, comply with applicable law or program requirements, provide authorized completion information, or protect the rights and security of Ivy, students, or others.
Ivy uses Google Ads conversion measurement to understand whether advertising results in course purchases. Limited transaction information may be sent to Google, including purchase amount, currency, and a transaction identifier. SMS consent and recipient settings are not part of this purchase-measurement flow. We do not send driver's license information, course records, DMV information, or certificate information to Google.
Not every course involves DMV reporting. RADEP courses are not regulated by the Virginia DMV and do not provide Virginia DMV safe-driving points or a DMV-issued certificate.
Privacy Requests and Other Policy Details
You may contact Ivy with privacy questions or to request correction of inaccurate contact or registration information. Certain information may need to be retained for transaction records, course records, legal obligations, fraud prevention, or program requirements.
Our detailed website privacy policy also addresses cookies and website technology, security, retention, third-party websites, and information regarding minors. These policies should be read together.
